Is takeout a routine or a special occasion for you?

It used to be once a week as a weekend treat, a habit that came from lockdown/the pandemic. Now it probably is still once a week except sometimes we have a week off!

What’s your go-to order?

Pizza! Specifically from Yard Sale. The dreamiest pizza ever. They do amazing olives too!

You’re in Southeast London–tell us your favorite local food spots.

There’s soooo many good food spots here! Yard Sale is one. There’s also Monkatsu (great Katsu curry!), Gao House (gorgeous noodle salad), The Real Greek, Koi Ramen, Halo Burger… too many to name! Mr Bao is definitely my most favourite local place. The most delicious Bao buns and sides ever! The ponzu mayo is to die for when paired with broccoli.

Living with someone, how do you agree on what to order for takeout?

I guess we usually take it in turns or just hope we fancy the same thing? Usually takes us ages to choose and go through all the options on the apps though, as we’re very indecisive!

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever ordered in?

A single carton of cranberry juice.

What’s the most indulgent guilty pleasure you’ve ordered? (example: boba with literally all the fixings)

Chocolate cake with chocolate custard from the Custard Factory! So delicious and such a huge portion. Tasted like the cake from school.

Should takeout be eaten straight from the container, or should it be plated?

I’ll only plate up if I have to!

Let’s talk about your favorite; pizza. What are your favorite toppings, your “heck no” toppings, and your opinions on pineapple?

Please don’t call me boring haha but I love a good old margherita! With lots of cheese. If I’m feeling crazy I’ll ask for some jalapeños on top too. And I’ll always ask for a garlic mayo dip.
